ReproLand
A game that opens up the topic of reproductive health in a natural, safe, and stigma-free way.
ReproLand is an innovative educational game project that connects science, psychology, and modern game design principles. It helps young people better understand their bodies, relationships, and reproductive health—clearly, playfully, and without moralizing.
It was created in response to the growing lack of high-quality, trustworthy information about sexuality, fertility, and reproduction.
Why was ReproLand created?
Reproductive health matters. But information is often missing.
Infertility today affects approximately one in six adults. Yet young people often have only superficial or inaccurate information about how human reproduction, fertility, and sexuality work. Research shows that:
- communication about intimate topics is uncomfortable or even impossible for many young people
- the main source of information is the internet - often without verified content
- misinformation increases both health and psychological risks
ReproLand was created as a safe space where these topics can be discussed openly, but with sensitivity.
How did we approach the problem?
We combined research, data, and gameplay. The ReproLand project is built on real-world data and research.
In the first phase, we conducted an online survey among young people to map their knowledge, attitudes, and needs in the area of reproductive health.
At the same time, we analyzed search trends related to reproductive topics in Slovakia over the past few years. The results showed a clear link between:

a growing interest in infertility-related topics

a declining fertility rate

the population’s mental well-being
These findings confirmed the need for a new, clear, and engaging approach to education.
